Your time is valuable and we will make every effort to be on time. However, emergencies occur that may cause scheduling delays beyond our control. We apologize in advance if we keep you waiting.
 
Appointments
Please call our office to schedule an appointment in advance. If you must cancel an appointment please call 1 day in advance.

Evaluation
The initial appointment will include taking a history of the problem, a review of any previous records & xrays, an examination of your child, diagnostic tests, and recommendations.
Diagnostic tests may include:
• Xrays which can be done in the office
• Ultrasound (US)
• Computerized Tomography (CT)
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Nuclear Medicine (Bone Scan)
• Lab work
These specialized studies may be done at Children’s Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Children’s South, or other designated centers throughout Alabama 

Treatment
At the conclusion of the examination or after review of any additional testing that is done, your doctor will make recommendations for care. These may include observation with follow-up only as indicated, non-operative treatment, or surgery.

If surgery is recommended, it is performed at Children’s Hospital or at St. Vincent’s Hospital both located in Birmingham, Alabama.
